McAfee provides trusted web security and offers real-time antivirus protection. US customers have coverage for an unlimited number of devices.

McAfee has the potential to be even more powerful than other antiviruses.

McAfee-related functions function as promised. I was impressed by McAfee’s antiphishing/anti-exploit browser extension which blocked more dangerous sites in my tests than Chrome and Firefox. McAfee’s Wi-Fi firewall and antivirus protections are superior to those offered premium rivals such as TotalAV and Avira.

McAfeeVPN wasn’t my favourite. McAfeeVPN works well on Hulu & Disney+.

McAfee still remains my favorite antivirus.

McAfee can offer 1-year plans for protecting 1, 5, 10, or unlimited devices. McAfee makes McAfee a cost-effective premium antivirus suite.

McAfee is a premium Antimalware Software Suite that offers many security features.

McAfee Security Protections performed well on my MacBook Pro, and iPhone 5, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus (and iPhone 5), respectively.

McAfee Web Security Suite 2002 is without a doubt the best.

This was the year 2009 that I downloaded the first trojans to my computer.

McAfee failed my initial scan. McAfee showed a high malware detection rate just a few weeks before I used it again.

McAfee took McAfee under an hour to run a complete system scan. Depending on the file type and size, it can take up to one hour.

McAfee scans your computer faster than normal. My computer couldn’t play any of the video or view any games.

McAfee virus scans are one of the most popular available. Schedule full scans at any time of the day or night.

Firewall

McAfee’s firewall protection is powerful, yet very simple to use. McAfee firewall protection was more reliable and efficient than Windows, macOS, Linux, and other operating system.

McAfee firewall allows you to choose from many security options.

• Open or close certain network ports.
• There 4 levels for network protection.
• Edit trust settings for stored networks.
• Activate software intrusion detection.
• Whitelist certain programs.

McAfee firewall does the job well. The firewall can stop any suspicious activity even for those without technical knowledge.

McAfee’s firewall lacks detailed logs. This is what I don’t like. McAfee’s firewall will show you what traffic is being blocked but only the network activity.

McAfee’s firewall protects you against all network users. Advanced settings can be used to protect against hackers.

VPN (Virtual Private Network).

VPN tunnels all network traffic to secure servers. VPN tunnels the traffic through secure servers.

McAfee SafeConnectVPN makes it easy to stream and surf the web.

McAfee Safe Connect offers users access to more than 1,900 VPN servers located in 41 different countries. The kill button (SafeConnect), can be used to disengage you from the Internet if your connection is lost.

During my testing Netflix and Amazon Prime, Hulu, Amazon Prime and Hulu all worked. Disney+. Disney+. Crunchyroll blocked it. ExpressVPN VPN/CyberGhostVPN can both be used to stream streaming media.

McAfee Smart ConnectVPN was able to stop my torrent client downloading and uploading files while I was testing. ProtonVPN could offer a great alternative to torrenting.

McAfee Safe ConnectVPN comes with many amazing features. McAfee Safe ConnectVPN tracks your web browsing activity and IP addresses.

McAfee Safe Connect VPN did well in speed testing. It took Australia approximately 4 to 5 seconds for a connection to a US Server.

McAfee Safe Connect VPN has a very user-friendly interface. It works with Netflix. It does not support P2P traffic.

WebAdvisor.

McAfee Internet Security Advisor protects against exploit attacks, malware-phishing and other malicious activities.

WebAdvisor scans all websites you visit and finds exploits.

WebAdvisor stopped all attempts to phish, exploit attacks, and phishing against my computer.

WebAdvisor provides an optional Secure Search option. You can assign safety ratings and colors to search results. However, it did give “Dangerous” ratings to certain pirate websites.

WebAdvisor allows users to rate social media links like Facebook and Twitter. It flagged dangerous pages if an account had been hacked.

Performance Optimization

Total Protection is a series of performance optimization software that can be used both on desktops or web browsers.

• QuickClean.
• App Boost.
• HTML Boost.

McAfee QuickClean will remove cookies from your PC.

QuickClean scans took only about one second.

QuickClean scanner enables me to easily see all the details. McAfee is able to delete files from users who are less tech-savvy.

McAfee AppBoost boosts your computer’s speed by allocating processing power to open programs.

McAfee Chrome extension Web Boost Chrome blocks autoplaying online video. YouTube thumbnail previews are not loading.

McAfee’s performance optimization tools are excellent. QuickClean is an excellent tool to eliminate junk.

Password Manager

McAfee’sTruKey Password Management is a powerful way to protect your passwords. It’s not as robust as other standalone password management systems.

TrueKey secures and syncs user info in cloud using 256bit AES encryption. McAfee has no access to saved logins.

True Key features include unlimited storage for passwords across devices as credit card or document storage. True Key is not compatible to TOTP authenticators and USB tokens, such as Yubikey.

True Key’s security tools are missing. LastPass, Dashlane and other security features can be monitored to detect possible password breaches.

True Key is a great password management software. While it is useful and time-savings, it does not offer a lot of security features span span>

Tru Key enables master account retrieval. McAfee’s password manager doesn’t provide such tools.

True Key’s simplicity is something I enjoy.

Parental Controls

McAfee Safe Family iOS and Android is a great parental control tool.

Safe family allows for the following:

• Filter webcontent.
• Block internet connectivity from devices.
• Block particular applications.

Safe Family’s interface makes it easy to use. McAfee allows the addition of websites to block and grant permissions for certain content types.

McAfee Safe Family performed exceptional in my tests.

Safe Family’s greatest asset is its capability to track and update the location your child. Safe Family can do this up to 10 meter away.

Security from Identity Theft

McAfee Identity Theft Protect allows you to monitor in real time to ensure that large amounts (PII) are not stolen. Experian’s darknet monitoring and credit monitoring systems can be used to accomplish this.

McAfee is able to monitor the dark Web and look for possible leaks right away after you have opened an account. ).

McAfee Identity Protection allows monitoring:

McAfee’s Social Media Monitor alerts users regarding privacy issues when sharing content via Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms.

Monitoring Change of address to ensure that mail redirection attempts can be monitored. McAfee also offers refunds, cancellations, and reissues.

McAfee offers various identity protection options. McAfee is more expensive.

McAfee ID protection offers US users a cost effective and efficient way to protect their identity from identity theft.

Additional Features

McAfee Total Protection has many additional security tools, including

• File locking. Protects files with a security code and passcode.
• Antispam. Antispam will check your email for spam and delete any messages you may consider spamming.
• System Monitoring. Alerts that notify you when an intrusted computer attempts connect to your network.
• An vulnerability scan. All your programs are up-todate.
• Safe data deletion. Does not write on sensitive data which has already been deleted.

McAfee Fillock may have its uses but cannot replace Windows or macOS’s functionality. Gmail offers excellent antispam protections.

McAfee my favorite home network analysis tool. It allows you identify all devices quickly and creates a network map.

Use vulnerability scanners to determine if you should update your programs.

McAfee offers secure file shredding. This can be used to quickly eliminate files from your desk.

McAfee offers other features, but they aren’t always reliable.

McAfee – Easy Setup

McAfee was very user-friendly and performed a virus scan on the computer.

McAfees dashboard is easy to use. McAfees homescreen has three main buttons.

McAfee Mobile App

McAfees Mobile Safety may be activated by emailing or texting. You can also directly download from the app store.

This app has a simple user interface. All other information is available through the menu at the top right.

McAfee was quick enough to detect all Android-specific malware. This process took less than 10 minutes.

McAfee Antitheft Protections are particularly impressive.

McAfee’s Android app has more features than the iOS.

• App lock. App lock allows you to secure certain apps with a single pin. This makes sure that only you have the app’s access.
• Guest Mode. Blocks all private applications on your smartphone
• Keep track on your data usage. Check out which apps are using too many data.

McAfee Android smartphone apps is amongst the best.
